Manisha Sharma is a poet and a fiction writer based in Boston. She received an MFA in creative writing from Virginia Tech in 2009, where she was also an Alfred E. Nobler fellow. Her work explores feminist social issues by collaboration with music composers, designers, and computer engineers. Her writing and installations have been published, recognized, awarded and they have run at institutes and galleries in the United States, India, and Australia. She has been a participant at the prestigious Breadloaf writers' conference in Vermont. She was also selected as a Spring 2016 poetry mentee by the Association of Writers and Writing Programs.
Currently Manisha works as a writing coach at NuVu studio in Cambridge, MA. Prior to that, she taught women's and gender studies, creative writing, English Composition, and was a faculty fellow with the Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology at Virginia Tech.
